Magpie

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Magpie (“the app”), a clipboard manager for macOS, and the website magpieapp.dev handle your information. Magpie is operated by an individual developer, Sanatzhan Aimukambetov (“we”, “us”), based in the Republic of Kazakhstan. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

The short version

Magpie is local-first and offline. Everything you copy — your clipboard history, text, images, files, colors — stays on your Mac. We don’t have a server for it, we can’t see it, and it’s never uploaded to us or anyone else. There is no account and no sign-in.

Data the app collects

None that leaves your device. Your clipboard history and any sections, vaults, or settings are stored locally in your macOS user folder (~/Library/Application Support/Magpie/). The app works fully offline and does not transmit your content to us.
